He was predeceased by: his parents, John Golwitzer and Clara Golwitzer (Heman); his daughter Debra Bertelsen; and his siblings, Fred, Arnold, Leonard, Johnny Golwitzer, Martha Hagedorn, Regina Vogt, Leona Drees, Eleanora Pottebaum and Alvina Rotert.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Golwitzer of Algona; and his children, Dale Golwitzer (Sue) of Wesley, Diane Meyer (Dean) of Algona, Dean Golwitzer (Mary) of Algona, Donna Nall (Dwight) of Corwith and Darla Stroebel (Denny) of Titonka. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
