He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dirksen and Anna Dirksen (Tjarks); his sister-in-law Ruth Dirksen; his father-in-law Dale Helmers; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Jensvold (Dick) and David Harms.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Helmers; his children, Brad Dirksen of Coon Rapids, MN, Shannon Herrick (Jeremy) of Austin, MN and Lacey Huisman (Justin) of Osage, IA.; his grandchildren, Blake Dirksen, Madison, Jacob Herrick, Sophia and Henry Huisman; and his siblings, George Dirksen, Larry Dirksen, Dennis Dirksen (Rosie) and Janice Meyer (Gerald). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 mandate, only 15 individuals are allowed at a time. Social distancing practices will be followed, and masks are required.
Our hope is someone's holiday is a little brighter with Al's final gift of organ donation.
