He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Geerdes; his children, Mark Geerdes and Kimberly Hastings (Patrick); his grandchildren, Taylor Butler, Sr. (Deondre), Parris Hastings, Timothy Vree (Heather Hubbard) and Toni Hastings-Gonzalez; his great grandchildren, Amarionna Butler, Deondre Butler, Jr., Ezio Vree and Josiah James Butler; and his siblings, Norma Huisman (Dennis), Marcia Beving (Gary) and Robert Geerdes (Jane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
