He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Eiten and Gertrude Eiten (Eckoff); his wife Myrna Eiten; and his siblings, Arnold Eiten and LeAnn Kooi.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Gary Eiten of Wellsburg, Iowa, Thomas Andrew Eiten (Terri) of Wellsburg, Iowa and Amy Minette Wojdyla (Richard) of Dubuque, Iowa; his grandson Trace Thomas Eiten; and his brother Harold Eiten.
