He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Heikens and Dena Heikens (Hoodjer); his wife Norma Johnson; his great grandchild Derick Zeltinger; his stepgreat-grandson Kole Kuker; his brothers, Marvin Heikens and Harlan; and his siblings-in-law, Pearl Heikens, Kent Johnson and Terry Hatcher.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Bates (Ron) of Wellsburg, Douglas Heikens (Roxy) of Steamboat Rock, IA, Gregory Heikens (Jolene) of Steamboat Rock and Donita Stanley (Jay) of Menomonie, WI; his grandchildren, Daniel Reed (Liz), David Reed, Amber Zeltinger, Michael Heikens (Ashley), Katy Heikens, TaLana Holman (Calen), Tori Johnston (TJ), Tanner Heikens (Mallory), Leah Brandner (Heath), Luke Stanley and Nate Stanley (Amanda); his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Sam), Dewayne Bates and Dustin Brown (Heather); his siblings, James Heikens (Linda) of Ankeny, IA and Bev Hatcher of Marshalltown, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Heikens and Donna Johnson. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, 3 step great great grandchildren.
