He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Brown and Elsie Brown (Davidson); his wife Evelyn Broherd; his son Dennis Brown; his son-in-law Max Long; and his siblings, Stanley, Millard Brown, Hildred Emery, Mabel McLain, Helen Thomas, Hazel McLaughlin, Opal Wilcox, Leona Parks and Beatrice Jones.

He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Long of Brighton and Sharon Miller (Larry) of Wellman; his daughter-in-law Shirley Brown of Wellman; his grandchildren, Beth Ann Long, Tony Long, Trisha Miller, Kevin Miller, Kristi Strickland, Karissa Brincks, Stacey Brown and Shaylee Adrian; and his brother Charles Brown. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
