With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul V. Baumgarth of Wellman, Iowa, born in Alton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2024 at the age of 71. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Paul leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin Baumgarth and Elva Baumgarth; and his niece Laura Swenson. He is survived by: his children, Eric Baumgarth (Kristin) of North Liberty, IA and Heather DeBord (Shane) of Coralville, IA; his grandchildren, Miles, Olive Baumgarth and Haleigh Wade; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Crew Wade; and his sisters, Ida Swenson (John), Sue Williams Baumgarth and Rita Luder (Jim) of Dallas City, IL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
