He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hochstetler and Maggie Hochstetler (Fisher). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kinsinger; his children, Lynn Hochstetler (Deb) of Kalona, Diane Miller (Tony) of Wellman, Bruce Hochstetler (Edie) of Wellman and Sara Bonner (Wes) of Lawrence, KS; and his siblings, Karen Gingerich of Iowa City, Jim Hochstetler (Anna) of Kalona and Harlan Hochstetler (Pauline) of Durham, NC.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
