He was predeceased by: his parents, Arden Dawson and Irene Dawson (Smith). He is survived by: his former wife Linda Caven; his close friend Anna Mae Marner of Wellman; his children, Bruce Dawson (Beth) of Winterset, IA and Monica Rich (Dirk) of Kalona; his grandchildren, Jared Droll (Becca), Devon Dawson, Bryce Dawson, Derek Rich and Bryana Dawson; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Lucy Droll.
A memorial fund has been established for the Wellman Golf Club.
