He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wilson and Lillian McWhirter (Robinett); his siblings, Robert Dean and Carolyn Ankeny; and his nephews, Brian McWhirter and Tim Ballard.
He is survived by: his wife Kathie Elliott; his children, Matthew of Washington and Melissa Peitz (Phil) of Donnellson; his grandchildren, William, Lauren McWhirter, Allison, Abigail and Andrew Peitz; and his siblings, Phyllis Ballard of Newton, Sharon DeWitt (Tom) of Rogersville, MO, Linda McWhirter of Newton, Laurie Davis (James) of Avalon, NJ and Ben Bucklin (Mariea) of Baxter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial fund has been established for the Mount Pleasant Community School District Foundation – FFA.
