He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Trump and Bernice Van Trump (Hoggatt); and his wife Ruth Scarff. He is survived by: his sons, Mike Van Trump (Nancy) of Fort Madison and Matthew Van Trump (Heather) of Iowa City; and his sister Barbara Belau of Denver, Colorado.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
