He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Shettler and Mary Elda Shettler (Slaubaugh); his wife Elda Stutzman; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Shettler, Donald, Carl, Fred and Gary.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kermith Shettler (Sharon) of Sigourney, Mary Shettler of Wellman and Rachel Koehler (Craig) of Washington; and his sisters-in-law, Mary K. Shettler of Columbus Junction, Sandra Shettler of South English and Rose Shettler of Cold Water, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
