With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Gordon (Webster City, Iowa), who passed away on April 11, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Gordon and Ellen Gordon (Gunderson); his wife Mary Lou; his brothers, Kenneth (Beulah), Norman (Irene) and Howard (Marcelyn); and his son-in-law Francis Owens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Poppe (Calvin) of Nashua, IA, Barbara Mussman (Ervin) of Marion, IA and Peggy Owens of Webster City, IA; his grandchildren, Allen Poppe (Jillian), Neal Poppe (Kate), Craig Poppe, Erika Hass, Alex Mussman (Sarah), Andrew Owens, Amy Baker (Preston) and John Owens; his great grandchildren, Anneliese, Allison and Ethan Poppe; his grandchildren, Norah, Jacob Poppe, Harper, Brooks, Griffin Mussman, Ella, Grace and Violet Baker; and his sister-in-law Barbara Hemminger.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Anchor Point Church (543 Division St, Webster City, IA 50595). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hamilton County 4H foundation and Meals on Wheels.
