She was predeceased by: her parents, Einar Sondergaard and Merle Sondergaard (Wheeler); and her siblings, David Sondergaard and Susan W. Miller. She is survived by: her husband Richard Carlson; her daughter Susan Jane Carlson of Rockville, MD; her brother-in-law James E. Miller; her nephew Brett Miller (Deb); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jenessa and Amanda.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no visitation.
