He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James and Patricia Ann Schulz (Nelson); his in-laws, Roy and Colleen Wells; his niece Emily Conner; and his nephew David Conner.
He is survived by: his son Robert Ernest Schulz (Bob) of North Liberty; his wife Rhonda Wells; his grandchildren, Ellie and Robert; his siblings, Linda Heide (Brian) of Rockwell City, Sharon Mundt (Al) of Gowrie, Sue Moore (Pat) of South and Lake; and his in-laws, Susan Conner (Robert) of Norwalk, Patty Clark (Jim) of Guthrie Center, Sara Bullock (Mike Burkhart) of Woodard and Jason Wells (Mandi) of Atchison, KS.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center (800 Willson Ave, Webster City, IA 50595). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (1000 Des Moines St, Webster City, IA 50595).
