He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Crandall and Naomi Crandall (Gage); his wife Vivian Olson; his siblings, Marjorie Marie, Paul (Annella), Jim and Max Crandall; and his grandson Alec Lawson.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Crandall (Freda Weiss) of Lillian, AL and Susie Elberg (Marty) of Hollywood, FL; his grandsons, Kaleb Lawson (Holly) of Adel and Taylor Elberg of Miami, FL; his great grandchild Finn Lawson; and his sisters-in-law, Marge Crandall of Marshalltown and Mildred Lofgreen.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Hospital, Samuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
