He is survived by: his former wife Fae Fraser Anderson of Webster City, IA; his son John Laird (Sue) of Webster City, Iowa; his grandsons, Joshua Laird (Alexandra) of Coralville and Andrew Laird of Burlington, Kansas; his great grandchildren, Matthew Laird and Madalynn Laird; his stepchildren, Chad Anderson of Des Moines, Christine Moulds (Dave) of Papillion and Cheryl Anderson of Webster City, Iowa; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Moulds (Sarah) of Cincinnati and Nicole Moulds of Papillion, Nebraska; his stepgreat-grandchild Pippa Moulds; and his siblings, Jane Miller of Somonauk, IL, Jolene Milligan of Sandwich, IL, Gerald Laird (Patricia) of Des Moines and Ronald Laird (Jane) of Aurora, IL..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boman Funeral Home (613 Ohio St, Webster City, IA 50595). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lehigh Christian Church (341 E Main St, Lehigh, IA 50557). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the West Lawn Cemetery (2897 Racine Ave, Lehigh, IA 50557).
The family will designate memorials to John Navis, Missionary to Sao Luis, Brazil and for a memorial picnic shelter at Briggs Woods.
