She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Rasmussen and Florence Edith Rasmussen (Morgan); her husband Bill Des Jardins; and her siblings, Richard and Frances Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Norma Rasmussen; her nieces and nephews, Bruce Rasmussen (Jill), Marsha Kasemeier (Larry), George Rasmussen (Gloria), Kris Clouse (Denny), Rick Rasmussen (Alayne), David Mitchell (Sharon), Steven Mitchell (Angie), Jim Mitchell (Cindy), Ted Mitchell (Janet) and Robert Mitchell (Robin); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jolene Messerly, Kelsie Jergens (Josh), Lauren Humphreys (Rob), Matthew Mitchell (Libby), Nolan Mitchell (Emma), Olivia Chalfant (Kyle), Evan Mitchell (Brittney), Morgan Dickinson (Ryan), Alex Mitchell (Liz), Cameron Mitchell, Mckenna Mitchell, Seth Mitchell (Sarah), Sierra Mitchell, Megan Rasmussen, David Rasmussen, John Rasmussen (Allie), Katie Rasmussen, Grace Rasmussen, Lauren Edwards (Kory), Libby Kraft (Todd), Ben Rasmussen (Kelsey), Lisa Derr (Josh) and Mark Kasemeier (Sarah).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center (800 Willson Ave, Webster City, IA 50595). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kendall Young Library in Mary's memory.
