He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hopkins and Bernice Hopkins (Johnson); his wife Elda Baroni; his stepmother Bessie; his siblings, Crandall, Clinton and Loyce; his grandson Stephen; and his stepsister Darlene.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Hopkins (Nina) of Reno, Nevada, Michelle Kershner (Chan) of Tucson and Josi Greenley (Bill) of Webster City; his brother Duane; and his stepsiblings, David and Cathy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be given to the American Legion Post #191 or Mayo Clinic (cancer research).
