She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Homer F. Hutson and Alice M. Hutson (Meyer); her husband Gene Sylvester Windschitl; her son Aaron Windschitl; and her pet Nick.
She is survived by: her son Noah Windschitl (Amy) of Broomfield, CO; her daughter-in-law Tanya Windschitl of Papillion, NE; her grandchildren, Caleb Windschitl, Carson Windschitl, Brody Windschitl, Cassie Barrett, Jay Michael and Joe Michael; and her great grandchildren, Aaron Kleba and Jonathan Michael. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Joan's memory to The Hamilton County Peace Officers Association, AHeinz 57 Pet Rescue & Transport of De Soto or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
