He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Schlitter and Bernice Schlitter (Rose); and his great grandchild Kamryn Schlitter. He is survived by: his wife Dalene Layne Hillyer; and his children, Kim Schlitter (Cindy) of Cedar Rapids, Kara Hutton (Daniel) of Council Bluffs, Gjoa King (David) of Council Bluffs, Terry Schlitter (Katie) of Redfield and Heidi Menard (Ron) of Lakeville, MN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
