He is survived by: his children, Steven Essick (Rhonda) of Spencer, IA and Kelly Scharf (John) of Fort Dodge, IA; his grandchildren, Corey Scharf (Tracy) and Melissa Ayala (Santino); his great grandchildren, Easton, Ezra, Paislee, Egan and Bemrik; and his former wife Sharon Sharp. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Garfield Township Cemetery (2930 480th St, Webb, IA 51366).
