He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hester and Alice Hester (Cable); his son Jim Hester; and his brothers, Bill Hester, Richard Hester, Wayne Hester and Larry Hester.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Marion; his children, Ronald Hester (Leanne) of Baxter, IA, Joe Corman of Wayland, IA and Cheryl Huffman (Don) of Batavia, IA; his siblings, Raymond Hester of Burlington, IA, Joyce Pender of Burlington, IA, Marilyn Mullens of Rock Island, IL and Dave Hester of Mediapolis, IA; his grandchildren, Matt, David, Ryan, Kylah, Casey, Nicole and Austin; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Lilly, Vincent, Macie, Makenlei, Taylor, Paige, Lyric, Graeson, Hadleigh, Wylie, Madison, Tyler, Alexis and Gracie.
