She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Brewster and Nellie Brewster (Klopfenstein); her husband Perl Messer; her son Laverne; and her siblings, Warren Brewster and Faye Mills.
She is survived by: her sons, Dan Messer (Terry Kirk) of Washington, Gary Messer (Lori) of Wayland and Gene Messer (Darla) of Wayland; her daughter-in-law Linda Messer of Wayland; and her grandchildren, Roni, Jodi, Marc, Tony, Stephanie, Natalie, Amanda, Jessica and Nikki. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Beatty Funeral Home & Cremation Service (107 S 15th Ave, Washington, IA 52353). Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location.
