He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola G. Schooley (Fleener) and Harold E. Schooley; his daughter-in-law Ramona Schooley; his grandson John Schooley; and his grandson-in-law Todd Milford.
He is survived by: his spouses, Viola Carmen Wyss and Carmen Schooley; and his sons, Philip A. Schooley (Debbie) of Bloomfield, Wayne Schooley (Laurie) of Bloomfield, Ronald E. Schooley of Bloomfield, William R. "Bill" Schooley (Danae) of Greensboro and David T. Schooley (Kathy) of Wayland. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
