He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Arnold Thalacker and Erna Thalacker (Klein); his stepmother Lois Thalacker (Westwood); his sister Naomi Vrhovnik (Tom); and his siblings-in-law, Nancee Thalacker (James), Lorraine Thalacker (John), Debbie Thalacker (Mark), Elaine Bloker (Schmidt), Roald Nelson (Ruth) and Gerald Schmidt.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Fred Thalacker (Kris) of Madison, WI, Ann Van Wig (Dale) of Cheney, WA, Andy Thalacker (Amy) of Aiken, SC, Karen Thalacker (Pete Newell) of Waverly and Laura Thalacker (Kyle Iboshi) of Portland, OR; his siblings, Ruth Nelson, Sarah Howdon, James Thalacker (Dee), John Thalacker (Donna) and Mark Thalacker (Liz); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Vrhovnik (Debbie) and Nora Schmidt. He is also survived by 14 grand children and 3 great-grandchildren.
