He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Scott and Philena Mae Whitley (McFayden); his wife Marie Anne Crawford; his children, Jeff Whitley (Valerie) and Jill Miller; and his sisters, Betty Patton, Geraldine Hlavka, Margaret Hanson and Sharon Bryan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Kugel (Kurt) of Waverly and Heather McClatchey (Erik Moe) of Waverly; his son-in-law Wade Miller of Janesville; his grandchildren, Faye Menzel, Tara Newman (Evan), Wesley Miller (Nicole), Shelby Forey (Nate), Lucas Burrier (Allison), Whitley Burrier (Teri), Abby Pauley, Emma McClatchey and Sophie McClatchey; and his great grandchildren, Nicole, Keegan Miller, Ellie, Trevor, Chase Forey, Lennon Miller, Ethan, Conner, Mia Akins, Margaret, Penelope, Broderick and Mackenzie Burrier.
