He is survived by: his former wife Judy Dettmer; his wife Stephanie Madson (Scott) of Waverly; his children, Nicholas Garner (Shirley) of Waverly, Angie Reisner (Scott) of Sumner, Aaron Garner (Malinda) of Grimes, Kayla Reitzler (Ryan) of Richmond, IN, Kim Madson of Waverly and Kyle Madson (Jeremy) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Judy Billings of Cedar Falls, William Garner (Sandi) of Mountain Home, AR, Rosemary Finger (Don) of Apple Valley, MN and Paul Garner (Nancy) of Marion; and his mothers-in-law, Patricia Haughrog (Finn), Valerie Schick (Edward) of Clear Lake and Natalie Poole (Darren) of Clear Lake.
