She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Michael, Shirley and Carl; her husband Carl Crooks of Ionia, IA; her children, Richard Crooks (Sherry) of Ionia, IA, Mike Crooks (Karen) of Ionia, IA, Shelley Stalder (Stephen) of New Hampton, IA and Debra Mihm (John) of Lawler, IA; her grandchildren, Carlie Samec (Dominic) of New Hampton, IA, Ryan Crooks of Ionia, IA, Kayla Crooks of Ionia, IA, Jeremy Schaufenbuel (Megan) of New Hampton, IA, Jamie Steege (Ryan) of Fredericksburg, IA, Kevin Stalder of Ottumwa, IA, Connor Mihm (Brandi Miller) of Boyd, IA, Callie Mihm (Isaac Hover) of Cresco, IA, Rebecca Meirick (Colton) of Elma, IA, Megan Crooks (Trevor Fecht) of Allison, IA and Jessie Rose Crooks (Cole Denner) of Ionia, IA; her great grandchildren, Madison, Braylee, Braiden, Bristol Schaufenbuel, Erin and Ella Steege; her siblings, Terry Hirsch of Fredericksburg, IA, Kevin Hirsch of Waucoma, IA, Myron Hirsch (Deb) of Mabel, MN, Ellanor Phillips (Russell) of Frederika, IA, Marlys Sowers (Jeff) of Milo, IA and Renae Farrell (Jim) of Boyd, IA; and her parents, Harold Hirsch and Corrine Hirsch. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
She worked part time for Stanton Electric until 2012 when she was stricken with Alzheimers Disease.Shirley was always known to be generous, loving and truly a kind soul.
