She was predeceased by: her parents, William Nichols and Opal Stevenson Nichols; her brother James Nichols; and her brother-in-law James Stroud. She is survived by: her husband John Brucher August; her daughter Jacki Moore (David) of Cedar Rapids; her stepsons, Jim Brucher of Virginia, David Brucher (Denise) of Watkins and Ken Brucher of Waterloo; her sisters, Linda Stroud of Waverly, Judy Buchan (Jerry) of Waterloo, Rita Negus of Waterloo, Ilene Hitchcock (Jim) of Cedar Falls, Diane Grapp (Steve) of Cedar Falls and Denise Carthey (Joe) of Decorah; her grandchildren, Zac and Seth Moore; and her stepgrandchildren, Easton and Bennett Brucher. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
