He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Furr and Edith Furr (Martin); his wife Freda "Gail" Byers of Veedersburg; and his siblings, Edward, Harold Furr and Pearl Furr.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Kolb (Dean) of Oconomowoc, WI, Paula Billet (Bret) of Waverly, IA., Jeff Furr (Shannon) of Crawfordsville, IN. and Gary Furr (Lori) of Waveland, IN.; his grandson Josh Kolb (Philesha) of Appleton, WI; his children, Brandon Billet (Brittany) of Waukee, IA., Brant Furr of Bloomington, IN., Shaley Pence (Sean) of Crawfordsville, IN., Kacey Myers of Greencastle, IN. and J. D. Furr of Avon, IN.; and his brother Earl Furr of New Whiteland, IN..
