He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Amelia (Dohlman) and Theodore Henry Tuitjer; and his siblings, Dorothy Tack, Anna Freebury, Mary Henrichs, Betty Balvanz, Florence Johnson, Jessie Jansen, Rena Smoot, Eime, George, Henry and Teddy.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jordan; his children, Brenda King (Tim) of Doughtery, Kathy Thompson (JT) of Waverly, Pam Swanton of Clarksville, Sherri Laird of Clarksville and Rodney Tuitjer of Clarksville; his stepchildren, Pam Redies (Todd) of Tripoli, Eugene Katzenburger (Tammy) of Waverly and Kevin Katzenburger of Tripoli; and his sister-in-law Faye Tuitjer of Parkersburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
