He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry H. Codner and Javotte Codner (Weires); his parents-in-law, Albert and Nida Dralle; and his brothers, Steve Codner and Pat Codner.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Dralle; his children, John Codner (Shelly) of Dumont, Carol Ballhagen (Rod) of Allison, Kristie Kramer (Troy) of Marshalltown and Craig Codner (Stephanie) of Shell Rock; his brothers, Bob Codner (Kathy) of Urbandale and Bill Codner (RaeAnn) of Allison; his siblings-in-law, Linda Heyer (Don) of Waverly and Joe Dralle (Nadean) of Clarksville; and his grandchildren, Kayla Noelting, Jeffery Codner, Michael Ballhagen, Jerod Ballhagen, Tim Kramer, Amber McFarland, A. J. Kramer, Austin Codner, Cody Codner, Brady Codner and Maxwell Codner. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
