It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marylou Tripolino of Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Mildred (Hogan) and Louis Mark Colson; her siblings, Janet Colson and John F. "Jack" Colson; and also Bing.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Tripolino (Judi) of Denver, IA, Steve Tripolino (Gretchen) of Cedar Falls, IA and Mary Sue Ervans (Bruce) of Seguin, TX; and her grandchildren, Aaron Tripolino (Annie), Bethany Harberts (Jeremiah), Sarah Moser (Matt), Christopher Tripolino (Jen Metz) and Noelle Roberts (Chris). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (2700 Horton Rd, Waverly, IA 50677). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (2258 Hwy 6 Trail, Marengo, IA 52301).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly, the Waverly Public Library, the American Parkinson's Association, or a charity of donor's choice.
