With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Kay Harken of Waverly, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2024 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Miller and Esther Lucille Miller (Howard); her parents-in-law, Harold and Tillie Harken; her siblings, Billie Jean Johnson, Ruth Oliver and Dick Miller; her niece Stacey Oliver; her nephew Michael Miller; and her siblings-in-law, Dean Johnson, Gordon Ploeger and Nancy Miller.

She is survived by: her husband Dallas Duane Harken; her children, Amy Barnett (Greg) of Plainfield, IA, Jennifer Benning of Iowa City, Brooke Johnson (Chuck) of De Smet, Zachary Harken (Jamie) of Clarksville and Nicholas Harken (Nichole) of Tripoli, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, Brady, Olivia, McKenna, Bradan, Dawson, Madaline and Isabella; her siblings, Chuck Miller of Wickenburg, AZ, Bob Miller (Peg) of Marion, IA and Betty Peterson of Waterloo; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Miller of Jesup, IA and Roxie Ploeger of Decatur, TX. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
