We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2021, at the age of 100, Mary E. Zierath of Waverly, Iowa, born in Owatonna, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Hawkins and Irene Cummings Hawkins; her spouse Merle L. Zierath; her daughters, Judy Mumm and Mary Ann Runge; her siblings, James, Robert Hawkins, Jeanne Kenneth and Ann Comeau; and her children-in-law, Jackie Zierath and Jan Runge.
She is survived by: her children, James Zierath (Susan) of Parkersburg, Robert Zierath of California and Terri O'Leary of Iowa City. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
