It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Elizabeth Thurman of Waverly, Iowa, born in Armstrong, Iowa, who passed away on June 29, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie E. Smith (Vanderburg) and James E. Smith; her son Perry; and her siblings, Ron, Byrl, Duane Smith and Marlys Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Keith Crystal Thurman; her son David (Davon) of Denver, Iowa; her grandsons, Justin Thurman (Anna) of Sumner and Adam Thurman (Kristi) of Cedar Falls; and her sister Janet Heald of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
