He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ernst and Martha Caroline Diercks (Schutte); his siblings, Eldon Diercks, Hank Diercks, Jeroyd Diercks, Lois Golz, Janice Isreal and Naomi Bonorden; his grandson Andy Kaufman; his great grandchild Beckett Kaufman; and his great great grandchild Landree Bradley.
He is survived by: his former wife Darlene Wright; his children, Sherry Barker (Bryan) of Nevada, Dennis Diercks of Waterloo, Julie Steere (Dorsey) of Tripoli, Vicki Kaufman (Randy) of Fairbank, Gary Diercks of Denver and Michael Diercks (Carolyn) of Denver; his close friend Patsy Davis of Waverly; and his brother Burton Diercks (Sharon) of Denver. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
