It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Dorothy Trachte of Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claus Reyelts and Mildred Reyelts (Griesse); and her siblings, Lawrence (Leona Reyelts), Mary Ann (Richard Bahe) and Paul (Ruth Reyelts).
She is survived by: her family Reyelts Dairy; her children, Dr. Aaron Trachte, Dr. Joy Becker, Lois and English; her husband Larry Trachte of Waverly; her children, Leslye Trachte of Lawton and Joel Becker of Waverly; and her grandchildren, Will, Charlie, Claire Trachte, Isaac, Daniel and Rachel Becker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (301 1st St NW, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wartburg College Reyelts Family Scholarship, the Bartels Chaplaincy Endowment Fund, or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
