We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2021, at the age of 89, Leander Anthony Brown of Waverly, Iowa, born in Penhook, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Brown and Wessye Brown (Taylor); his children, Susan Reed and Steve Daniels; and his brother William Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Alford; his children, LyAnn Western (Chris), Debbie Robinson (Howard), William Daniels (Kathy), Leander Brown and Brandon Brown; and his sisters, Bertha Johnson, Oshia Reid, Helen Brown (Joe), Jean Mann (Albert) and Brenda Becton (Charles). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a future charitable donation.
