It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence F Knief (Waverly, Iowa), who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Knief and Anita Knief (Rathe); his wife Darlene Rose Foelske; his siblings-in-law, Orval Huebner, Ronald Foelske, Marvin Leisinger and LuAnn Leisinger; and also, Herman and Minnie Foelske (Steinberg).

He is survived by: his children, Robert Knief (Diane) of Des Moines, Debra Mack (Jeffrey) of Elgin and Kathy Thomas (Kenneth) of Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandchildren, Jonathan Mack (Min Dou), Elizabeth Mack, Cole Thomas, Anna Thomas and Seth Thomas; his sister Velma Huebner of Clarence; and his siblings-in-law, Duane Foelske (Sandy) of Waverly, Andrea Musselman (Robert) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Melodie Foelske of Janesville.
