He was predeceased by: his parents, John McNamar and Dorothy McNamar (Stout); and his brother Robert McNamar. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Loomer of Waverly; his children, Scott McNamar of Marion, Laura Harken of Waverly and Kim Terrill of Waverly; his granddaughter Danielle Harken of Waverly; and his brothers, John McNamar Jr. (Janice) of Ottumwa and Bill McNamar (Sheila) of Ottumwa.
