She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Rector and Celia Rector (Auner); her brother-in-law Harlan Roloff; and her son Mitchell John Kurtt. She is survived by: her husband John Fred Kurtt; her sons, Douglas Kurtt (Bonnie Smith) of Northfield, MN and Timothy Kurtt (Elizabeth Roberts) of St. Paul, MN.; her siblings, Ruth (Rector Roloff) of Arlington Heights, IL and Bill Rector (Dena Marling) of Denver, IA; and her grandchildren, Garrett Kurtt of Denver, CO, Kory Kurtt of Northfield, MN and Tyler Kurtt (Haley Baumhoefner) of Fulda, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steinhagen, We are so glad that Laural was able to stay with you all as long as she was able.We Lyle Allen Hallowell & son Glenn were at Wartburg College living at Wartburg Trailor Court #22 married student Housing for 4 years, 1968-1972 & Lyle's assn w John as coach, Laural & all the children at that time w/Lyle's cross country running was a joy. Elizabeth & Paul deep love/condolences.”
