He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Asmus (Moritz) and John Asmus; and his siblings, Marie Swanson, Margaret Murray, John, Ernest and Paul Asmus.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Buddenberg; his children, Cynthia Fredericksen (Tim) of Elk Horn, Iowa and Daniel Asmus (Cindy); his grandsons, Christopher Fredericksen, Nicholas Fredericksen and Dane Asmus; his great grandchildren, Clara Fredericksen, Olivia and Emma Johnson; his sister Ruth Tellin; and his sister-in-law Goldie Asmus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
