She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Brettmann and Alida Brettmann (Bruns); her husband Duane "Zeke" Bergmann; her siblings, Roger Brettmann and Marilyn Schnell; and her nephew Scott Brettmann.

She is survived by: her children, Amy Hurley of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Darin Bergmann (Billie) of Urbandale, Iowa; her grandchildren, Michael, Benjamin Hurley, Trevin, Calvin and Kylie Bergmann; her sisters-in-law, Marian Brettmann, Donna Hulsing (Don) and Marlys Fischels (Norm); and also Sarah Gregory of Lynchburg, Virginia.
