Joyce Jean Rohde Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Jean Rohde of Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harl Hamblin and Merna Hamblin (Mangold); her husband Rev. John Rohde; and her son Jonathan Rohde. She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel Gilchrist (Chris) of Woodbury, Rebecca Hannah (David) of Hampton, Rosemary Rohde Ziskovsky (Jan) of Millsboro, Ruth Anderson of Hoover and Eliza Boots (Doug) of Waverly; her daughter-in-law Beverley Rohde of Barrington, Illinois; her grandchildren, Sarah Showalter (Quinn), Jennifer Shaw (Josh), Brian Hannah (Valerie), Drew Hannah (Melanie), Emma Ellison (Ben), Hannah Rohde-Frank, Aaron Anderson, Elisha Hester (Josh), Kirstin Anderson, Claire Boots (Tim) and Ellis Boots; her great grandchildren, Will, Graham, Amelia Showalter, Mason, Tyler Shaw, Harley, Lily, Maddy Hannah, Sammy, Charlotte Ellison, Johnie Grace and Jack Hester; and her siblings, Edna Gilstad (Gerald) of Niantic, Flo Strief (Dean) of Cleves and Harl M. "Rick" Hamblin (Debbie) of Ankeny, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
