It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Fred Kurtt of Waverly, Iowa, born in Denver, Iowa, who passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kurtt and Christine Kurtt (Schmidt); his wife Laurel Lee Rector; and his siblings, Dorothea Gleason, Marie Meyne, Elnora Brunstein, Bobbi Ecker Blatchford, Frieda Kurtt, Erwin Kurtt, Harold Kurtt and Arthur Kurtt.
He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Kurtt (Bonnie Smith) of Northfield, MN and Timothy Kurtt (Elizabeth Roberts) of St. Paul, MN.; and his grandchildren, Garrett Kurtt of Denver, CO, Kory Kurtt of Northfield, MN and Tyler Kurtt (Haley Baumhoefner) of Fulda, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
