It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Dwight Schloemer (Waverly, Iowa), born in Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Schloemer and Gladys Schloemer (Colby); his former wife Florence Michael; his brother Wesley Schloemer; and his niece Marcia Schloemer.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Hoblit-Goodner of Waverly; his children, Mike Schloemer (Sandy) of Knoxville, Mark Schloemer (Jean) of Waverly, Matt Schloemer (Wanda Reese) of Sugarland, Texas, Marilyn Schultz (Keith Diekevers) of Spirit Lake and Michele Fischer (Jim) of Waverly, Iowa; and his stepchildren, Audrey Malik (Walt) of Eldridge and Gary Goodner (Beryl) of Rochester, Minnesota. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jack has been cremated and his family is planning a public memorial service in August, hopefully after the restrictions of the COVID 19 pandemic are over.
