He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathius Meyers and Carolyn Meyers (Herzog); his former wife JoAnn Harmining; his wife Lois A. Hogan (Wilson); and his son David Meyers.

He is survived by: his daughter Laura Saunders (Jay) of Pella, IA; his grandsons, Matthew Saunders and Adam Saunders (Shian); and his great grandchild Garrett Saunders.

Memorials may be directed to Herbert's family for later designation.
