He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Eden and Gretchen Johanna Egts (Hinrichs); and his wife Barbara Ruth Bower. He is survived by: his sons, John Egts (Nancy) of Shell Rock, Dennis Egts (Teri) of Arizona and Anthony Egts (Mary) of Bloomington, Illinois; his daughter-in-law Pam Egts of Bettendorf, Iowa; his son Thomas Egts; his great grandchild Owen Baragar; and his sister Magda Zrostlik (Sylvester). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
